The thing I learned is that there is a water park & recreational center called Summit Waves. It was a great afternoon out for the kids. My guys played in the splash park with my brother & child for hours. I then held my baby in the kitty pool & chatted with my brother. The only time our kids took a split was for sunblock or food. The whole afternoon they basically entertained themselves, and when my kid took his nap I was really able to read & sunbathe. I didn’t really get to walk around MO & see the sights. I still don’t really know what the state has to offer. I will say that I loved the sunshine & it was the perfect temperature over the summer. Warm enough to be overheated however not so exhausting that I needed AC. My kids all had a great time at the water park.
The beaches are still an hour away
One of the best things about Jacksonville, FL, is the fact that the town is unquestionably spread out… The town is absolutely one of the greatest in square footage in the whole entire country… From the east side of the town to the west side of the city, Jacksonville encompasses more than 50 miles from one side to the other. The town is also quite expansive when you drive from the north to the south! I live on the North side of the town plus the beaches are still in our way. It’s absurd to feel you can drive in one town for an hour plus still be in the same city. I did not grow up in Jacksonville, but I moved here a couple of years ago. I wanted to be there to cheer on the school.
My friends and I went to school there and my buddy and I are alumni. My associate and I have season tickets to all of the games. I picked up Jack from his place on Wednesday and my buddy and I drove to the location together, however when my buddy and I got to the location, my buddy and I found our other two friends, however they were waiting at the gate for us! Everyone presented their tickets to the person at the gate and then my buddy and I were allowed to go inside of the location. The Sioux Falls team won the game 34-6, so my friends and I decided to go out and celebrate. I was supposed to labor the next morning on a commercial AC contracting task. I was supposed to get to the company between 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning… Unluckyly, I drank so much after the game that I had to postpone the Sioux Falls commercial AC contracting task until after dinner. I wasn’t sure if the client was going to be aggravated or not, so I was glad that the client did not mind me being late. I woke up around 11:00 and drank a whole pot of coffee. The Plano, Texas university board called me on Friday and they wanted to talk with me about the contract bid. I told them that I would meet with them as soon as they wanted. I was actually gleeful that they called me. The university board had a couple of questions and they wanted to know if I could lower the quote at all. I told them I could honestly drop the price by 10%, but lowering the price any more than that would mean using cheaper materials and I didn’t feel that was a good idea.
