The city is near the River and close to the state capitol. Fort Collins is home to a large university, and that is the place where I work. I am in the maintenance department at the university. We have temperatures during the winter months that can be done right frigid and there are often problems with the furnace and commercial heating system on campus. I have to contact commercial heating companies in Fort Collins, Colorado, that are affordable and on the approved vendor list. When there is a problem with the furnace, I have to go to the dean of students and get permission to call one of those vendors. I hate the way that things work and I wish that I could contact the commercial heating company in Fort Collins, Colorado, without having to go to the boss and get permission like a small child. There are a lot of things that I really like about my job. I have excellent benefits and a contract that keeps me at the college for 10 years. I also have a daughter that gets tuition for 50% because I work at the school. There is no way that I would want to work anywhere else, but I really hate having to deal with red tape and bureaucracy when things are broken down and need to be fixed.
