The park experience was not ideal for kids

My wife and I decided to take our kids to the amusement park for the weekend.

We drove to Orlando, which is only about 2 hours away from our home.

We stayed in a hotel for two nights so we could get up early in the morning and get to the park before anyone else. The hotel in Orlando had nice amenities like several pools and multiple hot tubs. The place had a free breakfast as well with bacon, eggs, sausage, and pancakes. We probably saved about 50 bucks on our breakfast since the hotel had a free one. We didn’t have to pay for breakfast at the park instead. The temperatures in Orlando were very hot and humid that weekend. It was around 90°, but it felt even warmer because of the humidity. The various places around the amusement park did not have air conditioning. Most of the time we were stuck in line waiting for a ride. There wasn’t any air conditioning outside of the buildings so we had to stand in the Heat and the Sun for a while. With temperatures around 90° or higher, it was a miserable weekend to take the kids to Orlando. My wife and I weren’t very comfortable either. Both of us were hot and overheated by the end of the afternoon and nobody wanted to stay late to see the fireworks. We ended up going back to the hotel room around 5:00 p.m. and then we went to a lobster and crab place for dinner. I’m honestly glad that we did not stay until the end of the night.
