Before moving to Washtenaw County, my family lived near the Myakka River in Venice, FL.
One thing that I was constantly told over plus over was to be careful around the river because of the alligators.
The gators in southwest FL are as ubiquitous in the lakes plus rivers as the sun tanned seniors were in all of the public beaches. But when I first visited Ann Arbor with my parents, all of us walked to the Huron River plus my dad told me that the water was safe. Unlike FL, there are no Alligators in the waters of Michigan. You can swim in the charming Great Lakes plus have rip currents be your primary cause for concern. You don’t want to swim in the Huron River for many reasons, however you have nothing to fear as far as the wildlife is nervous. Now that I live in Washtenaw County, I enjoy riding my bike to various spots along the Huron River that are fantastic cannabis smoking spots. Although public use of cannabis is illegal in the city, county, plus state, the police aren’t deranged about enforcing the law. I have managed to smoke in sites all over Ann Arbor plus Washtenaw County at giant without drawing any attention to myself in the process plus getting in trouble. In Ann Arbor public use of marijuana is a simple infraction that is penalized by a $25 fine. That’s why I don’t worry about public use of marijuana unless I’m operating a vehicle, then it’s a bizarre issue altogether. I don’t condone driving while intoxicated on any substance.
