If you are a total animal lover, you don’t want to miss out on the Denver Zoo. There really is no other zoo like it in the whole nation. You can encounter animals you are common with plus animals that you didn’t realize existed! Personally, I appreciate the fact that you can see animals that are pretty much polar opposites all in one site. Specifically, there are several entirely opposite birds living their lives at the Denver Zoo, but flamingos are a number one from my childhood growing up in Florida. Those birds are truly considered a tropical animal! If you have never seen a flamingo in your life, you are missing out. If you ever do get to see one, you won’t forget it. Flamingos are bright pink! The pink or reddish feathers come from what they always eat. They tend to eat little crustaceans that are high in beta-carotene – that’s right, the same stuff that’s in carrots – plus all that beta-carotene makes their feathers easily reddish or pink! Because marijuana is legal in Denver also, plus has been for a number of years, it can be awesome to have a little cannabis before checking out the flamingos. They can seem even more amazing! Not to be outdone by the tropics, there are ice-passionate birds at the zoo, too. That is, of course, penguins! Penguins are birds, however they don’t fly around at all. Instead, they easily swim through the water, plus their “wings” are basically flippers plus their feathers are entirely different to allow them to stay entirely warm in their cold world plus also to assist with shaking the water off. Whether you come to visit Denver because of the liberal cannabis laws or for the enjoyable outdoor adventures, be sure to spend a short while at the Denver Zoo before heading back to your residence.
