All of the buildings in downtown Albuquerque have lights that come on at night. When you stand downtown at night, the whole cityscape of Albuquerque is illuminated. It’s absolutely one of the prettiest sights that you could ever see. The night-lights in Albuquerque are one of my favorite things about the city. I also love the Balloon Fiesta. The Balloon Fiesta happens every single year. Hundreds of people with hot air balloons all gathered in Albuquerque and set off on the same route together. There are many different people that visit Albuquerque just to enjoy the Balloon Fiesta. I have to admit that it is absolutely a draw for me too. One of my best friends decided to visit last year for the first time since I moved here 10 years ago. She wanted to visit during the time of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Staying with me was probably cheaper than getting a hotel in Albuquerque. We actually had a pretty good time. When my friend arrived, she ordered some items from a marijuana delivery service in Albuquerque. We got high as soon as the marijuana products arrived. I had not smoked pot in 10 or 15 years and I got really high from hitting a marijuana joint a couple of times. My friend laughed out loud when he realized that I was a lightweight. We smoked marijuana every single night that he stayed in my apartment. I felt like a pothead by the time he left my Albuquerque apartment to head back home. I slept better that week than I have in six months.
