Swapping to heated flooring

My home was fitted with an all brown rug… It was super ugly & gross, and the study room & hallway were dark brown & the study rooms were light brown.

They were close enough that it was almost strenuous to tell what was what.

I hated it. I am not a fan of carpet… Since we live in IL our spouse said we needed carpets, we needed it to keep the floors from feeling cold. The winters come soon & linger forever. Well I did some research & found a loophole. I ripped up all the old carpet & added a gray tile floor. It looks new, up-to-date & cleans love a dream. What is superb is that in the upgrade process I added electric heated mats. The mats of zig zagging line of electricity that create heat. With the heat in the flooring there are no frigid spots or wasted heat going to the ceiling, another bonus is that the plan is silent & does not stir up dust. It is legitimately superb for our home. I removed the old central furnace & just use heated flooring now. That works just superb for our home in Buffalo NY. I love that I can wake up in the afternoon & have toasty feet, but everything that touches the heated flooring feels hot as a result as well. That means our couch, loveseat, chairs & beds all believe heated. It is a much classier heating plan than anything else on the market. I legitimately care about that I have no more ugly carpets too.
