It is tough when you have three kids and are a single mom.
I am constantly lugging diaper bags, toys and a cooler full of snacks anywhere we go. Sometimes I just don’t have the energy to travel and we stay home. My sister on the other hand loves going to new places. She only has one child and a husband to help out. I always get invited to come along. This most recent trip I actually took her up on her offer since she offered to help out. I don’t know why, but my sister landed on Lee’s Summit Missouri as our destination. I knew next to nothing about Missouri. The thing I learned is that there is a water park and recreational center called Summit Waves. It was a great day out for the kids. My boys played in the splash park with my sister and son for hours. I then held my baby in the kitty pool and chatted with my sister. The only time our kids took a break was for sunblock or food. The whole day they basically entertained themselves. When my daughter took her nap I was actually able to read and sunbathe. I didn’t really get to walk around Missouri and see the sights. I still don’t really know what the state has to offer. I will say that I enjoyed the sunshine and it was the perfect temperature over the summer. Warm enough to be hot but not so bad that I needed AC. My kids all had a great time at the water park.
