It’s nice seeing exotic birds at the Denver zoo

If you happen to be an animal lover, you don’t really want to pass on the Denver Zoo. There totally is no other zoo even similar to it in the country. You can come across animals you are familiar with and animals that you never knew existed! Personally, I care about the fact that you can check out animals that are almost polar opposites all in one locale. Specifically, there are more than one honestly opposite birds living their lives at the Denver Zoo. Flamingos are a favorite from my childhood growing up in FL, and they are actually considered a tropical animal. If you have never witnessed a flamingo, you are missing out. If you ever do see one, you won’t forget it. Flamingos are bright pink! The pink or reddish feathers come from what they actually eat. They eat little crustaceans that are high in beta-carotene – that’s right, the same stuff that’s in carrots – and all that beta-carotene makes their feathers reddish or pink! Because marijuana happens to be legal in Denver, and has been for numerous years, it can be thrilling to care about a little cannabis before checking out the flamingos. They can seem even more vibrant than ever! Not to be outdone by the tropics, there are frosty birds at the zoo, too. That is, of course, penguins! Penguins are birds, but they don’t actually fly. Instead, they whiz through the water, and their “wings” are truly flippers and their feathers are quite different to allow them to remain toasty in their freezing world and also to help shake the water off… Whether you come to visit Denver because of the liberal cannabis laws or for the fantastic outdoor adventures, be sure to spend a couple of hours at the Denver Zoo before going back home.
