I decided to visit my mom last November.
She lives in Evansville, Indiana, where I was born and raised.
I went to the University of Miami for college and I decided to take a job down south after school was over. My mom was sad for a long time after I moved. I believe that she thought I would eventually move back home to Evansville. I honestly never saw myself settling there long-term. I never loved living in Evansville. It was cold during the winter and not particularly warm during the summer. Growing up in Evansville, I had to deal with ice, snow, and miserable temperatures. I love being close to the beach and having sun 350 days every year. When I went to Evansville to visit my mom last November, I ended up staying for an extra week. The furnace in my mom’s house did not work. I’m not entirely sure how long the furnace has been a problem. My mom had several space heaters set up in the house. The furnace could have shut down last winter and my mom would have never told me. When I realized that my mom was living without any heat, I found an Evansville service provider to replace the furnace.
