My mom is coming to visit me, and I need to plan a day where we can spend some time in the city. But the problem is my mom doesn’t like being outside when it’s too hot and that’s kind of hard to do especially because I live in Phoenix Arizona. If you don’t know, Phoenix is in the middle of the desert, so saying it’s hot here can be an understatement – the weather is brutal and unforgiving. And if you’re like my mom and not used to the dry desert heat, chances are, you’ll have a hard time adjusting to it. So, when my mom comes, I need to find places that have air conditioning so that she’s not outside for too long. There are a few places that I found that she would like, mostly art galleries and museums. But I would also like her to spend some time outside to see the beautiful area. For instance, I would like her to see the gorgeous cacti at the Desert Botanical Garden, they are truly a sight to behold. I believe she would love walking through the garden, but I just don’t think she could handle being outside for long without air conditioning. I wished the garden had more air conditioned spaces, but it does have shaded areas as well as water stations to cool off. But I am worried that might not be enough for my mom. I am going to run the idea by her to see what she says, and if she doesn’t want to go, at least I have a lot more places in mind and most of them have air conditioning.
