A few years ago, my husband James and I got invited to a hockey game at Amalie Arena.
At the time, I was not a hockey fan and was a bit hesitant about going.
However, James convinced me by letting me know that the seats were in a suite. So, there would be free food and drinks for the entire game. Plus, he mentioned that I didn’t need to watch the game, just have fun and socialize. Well, after hearing that I was sold. I had never been to the stadium before, and I was blown away by it. Although I wasn’t a hockey fan, it was the most fun that I had at any sporting event in Tampa. The stadium had a lot of amenities, but my favorite was that it had climate control. So, it’s a venue that can be used all year long for just about anything. And for someone like me who loves going to concerts, the stadium would be great. Because outdoor venues can become uncomfortable especially in the middle of a hot and humid Tampa Summer. The last time I went to a concert in an open air stadium, it was so hot that I hung out more in the air conditioned areas and watched the concert from monitors. I love living in Tampa and I hate to complain about the heat because for the most part, the weather is quite beautiful. But it’s nice to have venues with climate control because they present a more pleasant and enjoyable situation. Anyway, although I don’t love hockey and I will probably never be a fan, I wouldn’t mind going back to another hockey game inside the stadium. In my opinion, climate control makes a world of difference.
