Legalization began in 2014 and more and more recreational and medical marijuana dispensaries have popped up in the last 10 years. All adults that are 21 years and older can purchase marijuana from a number of different retail shops. These shops have products such as dried marijuana flower, concentrates, edibles, topicals, and tinctures. There is something for everyone when you go to a legal marijuana dispensary. I happen to get a job working at one of these Denver shops. I studied hard to get my budtenders license and that meant going to an education class that lasted 2 weeks. I got a job working at the Denver dispensary shortly after I finished the classes. Having the background helped me secure a job when there were only a few available and a lot of people looking. One of my first days on the job was difficult and tiresome. The dispensary was incredibly busy because of the holiday weekend. I remember coming home at the end of the day and falling asleep almost immediately. I was incredibly tired after working all day at the legal recreational and medical marijuana shop in Denver. It was a lot of fun to help different people and I learned a lot too, but my feet were tired after standing around for a 10-hour shift.
