For years I dreamed about moving to Glenview, IL; Now, I know that to anyone who lives there, or has even visited Glenview, that statement is really hilarious, it’s the truth, though! I was an only child raised by a single mother in a part of IL so remote that I never saw any children outside the confines of school.
I had to take a bus ride for 45 minutes just to get to the school! My mom lived on the family lands, which had stopped being farmed multiple years ago! Our apartment was old, frail, plus lacked cable tv or usual air conditioner… During the hottest mornings of the summer time my mom would take me to Glenview to stay with her sister.
In Glenview there was ample air conditioner, plus I could watch whatever I wanted on TV, then this is how the cozy city of Glenview became idolized plus glorified in my mind, plus why I spent years wanting to live there. This also explains why I was so interested in learning Heating plus Air Conditioning maintenance for a task. Air conditioners seem so complicated I couldn’t figure them out, so if the classes at the Glenview community college could educate me, I could have a job on my hands! My Aunt Ginny was really kind, plus let me stay in her apartment near Glenview as I took my classes. In return I promised to provide her free Heating plus Air Conditioning service for the rest of her life. Once I moved here to Glenview, I never moved anywhere else. I simply love it here.
