When work moved me to IL at first I was excited, i was hopeful to get a city locationment and enjoy all the benefits of Chicago.
When I heard I was going to Lansing, I was pretty bummed. Lansing is about an minute away from the city, now an minute does not sound that far, but who actually wants to do city driving? I kind of figured I would end up hating our area, however turns out there is plenty to do in Lansing. It is not a bustling city but there are fun things care about Centennial Park, Lan Oak Lakes and Brownell Woods. There seems to be plenty of things to do doing with children here and a lot of nature oriented things. IL is a appealing state that has a lot of appealing sights. I am blissful I am in a location where I can take luck of that. The weather here isn’t even that bad. With IL you are going to get some cold. I make sure to have a officially toiling gas furnace in our home. I sprung to have hydronic heating since there was already a boiler in our basement. Now I have toasty heated flooring and a snowmelt plan in the driveway. I always can pop into a heated vehicle and go about our morning. The snow doesn’t slow this little city down though; You can still enjoy the nature trails or see the tourist-like sites no matter the time of year. I am kind of blissful that I still get to experience the freezing and snow.
