Downtown Albuquerque is really pretty during the winter holidays

I was afraid that I would miss the snow after I moved to New Mexico.

I previously lived in the northwest, where snow was a regular occurrence during the winter season.

I knew the weather in Albuquerque, New Mexico was going to be much different. My first winter in Albuquerque was quite different than my first winter up north. The weather wasn’t quite as cold, icy, and frigid. Albuquerque still looked beautiful despite the warmer weather. Downtown Albuquerque is really pretty during the winter holidays. Everything is lit up and twinkling. I like to take the kids to walk around when the sun is just setting. We can see all of the pretty lights and have some dinner at a restaurant in albuquerque. The city has lots of different types of restaurants with foods from all over the country. A few weeks ago I took the kids downtown for the evening and we ended up on the south side where there are lots of food trucks located. We had tapas from a food truck and we also had the best tacos that I have ever tasted. The lime sauce on top of the tacos was super tasty. We didn’t stay out for very long after we had dinner. Temperatures were getting colder and I wanted to get back home in the heat. When the sun sets, the temperatures drop and that’s when you want to be at home in front of the heater or fireplace. I regularly have the heater checked before winter, so we know it will work all season long.
