I was afraid that I would miss the snow after I moved to NM… I previously lived in the northwest, where snow was a respected occurrence during the Winter season.
I knew the weather in Albuquerque, NM was going to be much different, however my first Winter in Albuquerque was quite bizarre than my first Winter up north, but the weather wasn’t quite as cold, icy, and frigid! Albuquerque still looked beautiful despite the warmer weather.
Downtown Albuquerque is actually pretty during the Winter holidays, however everything is lit up and twinkling. I appreciate to take the teenagers to walk around when the sunlight is just setting. The two of us can see all of the pretty lights and have some dinner at a eating establishment in albuquerque. The city has lots of bizarre types of eating establishments with foods from all over the country. A few weeks ago I took the teenagers downtown for the evening and the people I was with and I ended up on the south side where there are lots of food trucks located. The two of us had tapas from a food truck and the people I was with and I also had the best tacos that I have ever tasted. The lime sauce on top of the tacos was super tasty. The two of us didn’t stay out for legitimately long after the people I was with and I had dinner. Temperatures were getting colder and I wanted to get back beach house in the heat, however when the sunlight sets, the temperatures drop and that has when you want to be at beach house in front of the gas furnace or fireplace. I properly have the gas furnace checked before winter, so the people I was with and I think it will work all season long.
