I could not breathe well, and I was sure I was coming down with a cold, then the weather had been vacillating between frosty and rainy to moderate and rainy, and I had enough.. I asked if he could possibly be allergic to the rain like I was, and he rolled his eyes, but then he took a better look at me. He told me that pollen irritations didn’t cause you to run a fever, made the sign of a cross and walked away, normally I took his odd comments with humor, however I wasn’t up to it. He was the one who chose to be a forest denuder and not me. He could take away all the trees if he wanted, however I wasn’t part of it. He said he had a blast, although he wanted to know if I could turn on the heat so he could get warm. He was freezing. I told mom that the next time my friend and I went to Shlagel Farms; my friend and I were going to go in the summer, option some strawberries, and not worry about how chilly it is, like now at the end of September.

I’m gleeful that my mom enjoys living on her own, because I do not know that she would entirely like living with me, my fantastic friend and I never got along really well when I was a kid.

• My fantastic friend and I fought all of the time because my dad was a jerk & I thought my mom should be nicer, then of course, after he died I realized how exhausting the guy was in real life, i’m surprised my mom stayed with him as long as she did.

After years of wanting to go, I finally got tickets to see a show at the Lyric Theater, however this iconic theater in downtown Birmingham was once abandoned however has been fully restored to the way it was!
