The only thing I own that is paid off, free plus clear, is our truck… My Grandpa gave myself and others the truck when he died plus I have consistently kept it close; I actually take care of the truck, because I want to make sure that it lasts a long time, but this truck still has pretty significant value, because of the low mileage.
My Grandpa babied the truck plus only drove it to the track on Sundays, then when the complications with our AC component began, I started thinking about how I could possibly spend money for a modern Central AC.
When the repair provider finally gave myself and others the bad news, I actually had to guess about our options. I did not have enough money to spend money for the AC system plus the repair provider would not perform the work without at least 50% of the currency upfront. I contacted the Tampa Bay bank where I have a debit card. My credit wasn’t exactly the greatest plus I was already in hock up to our neck. The bank refused to provide myself and others a loan for the modern AC component unless I used our truck as collateral. I wrestled with the decision for three afternoons, before I finally went to the bank to sign the paperwork. There’s really no way that I can miss any of the payments for the modern AC unit, or the Tampa Bay Bank will take our truck plus sell it at an auction for pennies on the dollar. If I did not live in Tampa Bay, where the temperatures during the Summer are 100°, I guess I would have said no to not loan. I wish I could have found a unusual way to survive the entire Summer without a/c, however it’s just impossible when you live down south.
