When a service provider gives me a time slot, I always expect that the person is going to be as late as possible. If the cable company tells me 2:00 until 4:00, then I expect to see the repair technician around 4:00. I’ve never had a service technician arrive early for an appointment. This week was the first time that happened and I was certainly glad that it turned out to be the AC repair company. I called the Orland Park AC company when I woke up and discovered my AC unit was making a strange sound. The AC unit still seemed to be working just fine. The temperature was correct on the thermostat and the AC was blowing cold air. I still didn’t like the sound coming from the machine so I called an Orland Park HVAC repair company. The service provider was supposed to come to give me an estimate and evaluate the problem. I expected to see someone at 4:00, because that was the time that the answering service gave me for the Orland Park Service provider. When the guy knocked on my door at 2:30, I was happy to be home. He could tell that I was surprised and apologized for not calling ahead of time. The other job was right around the corner and the client decided to wait until next week to have the repairs completed and that meant a time slot opened up for me. I certainly wasn’t going to say no, but I was surprised to see someone early for a change.
