The new job will require me to commute on the Transit

Last month I got a brand new job.

  • I was driving to work every day until my car broke down.

Now I have to commute on the transit every day. Taking the transit has been a crazy experience. There are homeless people living on the platform of the transit and they always beg for money and food. It’s extremely hard to say no to all of the people that pass by. The homeless problem in San Francisco Bay area is absolutely horrible. There are homeless people living all over the streets and in the subway stations. There are homeless people living on the side of the bay in tents. It’s definitely one of the city’s biggest problems. The first time I rode on the San Francisco transit, there was a guy smoking marijuana in the back of the train. I could smell the marijuana all the way in the front of the car. I looked at other people to see if anyone else was going to complain about the smell of marijuana. Nobody said a word. In fact, many of the transit riders acted like it was not a big deal. When I got off the transit, I told one of the people in charge that a person was smoking marijuana on the train. The transit authority cop didn’t look surprised and he didn’t act fast to catch the person before the transit left. Obviously marijuana smoking is no big deal on the transit. That wouldn’t fly on the public bus. I can say that with certainty. The smallest hint of marijuana can keep you off the bus if the driver is in a bad mood.
