Although the ABQ Biopark’s zoo and gardens are fun when the weather outside is mild, on a hot summer day you can’t beat the ultra-cold air conditioning inside the aquarium.
Before moving to Albuquerque last year, I loved visiting aquariums in my home state. There was one massive aquarium in the state capital that I saw for the first time on a school field trip when I was eight-years-old. In the years since, the aquarium has grown and added another building to the large complex. During my last year in that city, I was visiting the aquarium at least once a month to take advantage of my year-long visitor’s pass. The manatee tank is possibly my favorite place in that large aquarium. I love it when the manatees come up to the glass and press their faces against it while you smile at them on the other side. Once I arrived in Albuquerque, I immediately did a search on my phone for a local aquarium to visit. That’s when I discovered the ABQ Biopark Aquarium. The ABQ Biopark Aquarium is one of four facilities that make up the ABQ Biopark, a large environmental museum in Albuquerque. The other three facilities are the ABQ Biopark Zoo, ABQ Biopark Botanic Gardens, and Tingley Beach. Although the ABQ Biopark’s zoo and gardens are fun when the weather outside is mild, on a hot summer day you can’t beat the ultra-cold air conditioning inside the aquarium. If you invest a lot of money in proper indoor climate control for your business it will lead to more customers in the long run. Gone are the days of simply hitting the movie theater on a hot summer afternoon. Nowadays I’d rather visit a museum or aquarium in Albuquerque, especially knowing there are so many to choose from inside the city.
