My girlfriend plus I moved to Albuquerque a couple of months back.
Both of us were able to find jobs really quickly, and we previously lived in a different state.
NM is our modern home now. We moved here because NM recently adopted recreational marijuana laws. It is now legal to consume cannabis plus purchase it from dispensaries… NM has had legal medical cannabis for a long while, but as of last year, the whole state is recreational plus medical. Another reason both of us made the choice to transport to Albuquerque, because it has a charming lgbtq community. My girlfriend plus I are part of that community. We have been dating for the past several years. Both of us came from a state that is more red than blue. it was not especially easy to be out plus even more challenging to find pride events. Albuquerque has a great deal of gay pride events in the month of June, however this year was the first time that my girlfriend plus I got to go to the pride fest. We decided to go to a drag queen show plus both of us danced at a bar until the middle of the morning. We drank vodka tonics with a couple of famous people. We easily walked in the Gay Pride Parade next to hundreds of thousands of other proud individuals. There is quite a bit of history plus culture in Albuquerque. I am so thankful that my girlfriend plus I made the choice to transport to a state that is much more accepting of our lifestyle… Of course, it does not hurt that NM has legal marijuana for low prices too.
