Washington Park is a public park and recreation area in Denver. The park has a recreation center, flower gardens, tennis courts, and many different styles of architecture. It is located in the southern central part of Denver. The park is one of my favorite places to take the kids during the Spring. I plan to take the kids to Washington Park in Denver on the first weekend of spring. The kids and I had the weekend planned for a month. Unfortunately, it snowed on the first weekend of spring in Denver. The kids and I were really bummed out. We knew it was likely to be cold during our visit to the park, but we never anticipated a foot of snow. Denver has a very strange climate. It can snow in the spring or the fall. It even snowed at a very high elevation in the month of July. I love living in Denver for a lot of reasons and the cold weather and snow is just one. Skiing and snowboarding are some of my favorite winter activities. I also love living in Denver because of the recreational marijuana laws. Any adult over the age of 18 can walk into a dispensary and purchase recreational or medical marijuana. It’s heavily taxed and highly regulated, but all of the people in Colorado can access the plant. I prefer to use cannabis as part of a daily regimen to help with PTSD and anxiety. Using cannabis daily seems to help me feel more relaxed and ready to tackle whatever problems arise during the day.
