My parents saw my natural aptitude and encouraged me every step of the way. I had a small garden patch in the backyard, but by the time I was 10 I had taken over the entire yard, front and back, with my plants. When it was time to go to college, of course I studied botany and horticulture. I earned a 4 year degree in 3 years, and then decided to continue my education in a small town on the outskirts of Philadelphia. For those of you who don’t already know, Philadelphia is considered one of the best cities on the eastern seaboard for cannabis. I had been communicating with a Philadelphia cannabis farmer, who offered to take me under his wing and teach me the tricks of the trade. It didn’t matter what the weather was, almost every other day it rained.

It was getting to the point where I was afraid I would become allergic to the rain. My husband got home from work one afternoon, and it had been a particularly cool and rainy day. My head was pounding, and my eyes were itching. I couldn’t breathe well, and I was sure I was coming down with a cold. The weather had been vacillating between cold and rainy to warm and rainy, and I had enough.. I asked if he could possibly be allergic to the rain like I was. He rolled his eyes, but then he took a better look at me. He told me that allergies didn’t cause you to run a fever, made the sign of a cross and walked away. He told me he was only helping to get rid of the diseased trees, but I wasn’t in the mood for his conservationist routine. I hated the rainy weather, and I was ready to move back east. I hoped I felt better the next day, and the weather would be nicer. I was just tired of the rain and unsure of warm or cool weather this time of year.

My son had been begging me to take him to a petting zoo. I looked online to find a petting zoo that was near where we were visiting family. I couldn’t believe it was closed, but it was late fall, and it was chilly. I looked at the website and realized we should have waited one more day to go. It was open only on Saturday. Grandma had come along with us, and we were ready to try the milkshakes from the milkshake truck, check out the petting zoo, and pick some pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. By the time we got there, my son had spied the wagon that people were riding on. It was drizzling, but that didn’t deter my son. He had a huge pumpkin in his arms, when I noticed his lips were turning blue. I bundled him up with his scarf, and after paying for the pumpkin, we headed to the car. My mom asked him if he had fun with the animals and picking out a pumpkin. He said he had a blast, but he wanted to know if I could turn on the heat so he could get warm. He was freezing. I told mom that the next time we went to Shlagel Farms; we were going to go in the summer, pick some strawberries, and not worry about how cold it is, like now at the end of October.

The Tampa Bay Zoo is one of the most fun things to do in all of Tampa. Tampa is a really laid back city on the western side of Florida. There is easily something for everyone in the city. If you like to spend your time outside, I recommend a day at the zoo. The Tampa Bay Zoo is even included on the citypass. Tampa has a citypass that includes some of the most recognizable attractions in the city. Included in the citypass is the admission to the aquarium, zooTampa, and Busch gardens. You can save a great deal of money by purchasing the city pass and it is a great idea if you’re planning to spend the weekend hanging out in the city. Tampa Bay has a lot of things to offer. My family and I have season passes to zoo Tampa. We often go there during the winter days when the temperatures are mild. We try not to go to the zoo during the summer time because it is incredibly hot. The zoo used to have some misting machines that made it more enjoyable, but they stopped working and no one seemed to fix them. Temperatures were in the ’80s on Saturday, but the kids really wanted to go to the zoo. We spent half of the day looking at the apes and the monkeys. When we got home from the zoo I was tired. The kids wanted to take a nap and I thought it was a good idea too. Unfortunately, we woke up to a problem with the air conditioner. The air conditioner must have shut off while we were sleeping. I’m happy that my mom likes living on her own, because I don’t think that she would really like living with me.

We never got along very well when I was a kid.

We fought all of the time because my dad was a jerk and I thought my mom should be nicer. Of course, after he died I realized how awful the man was in real life. After years of wanting to go, I finally got tickets to see a show at the Lyric Theater. This iconic theater in downtown Birmingham was once abandoned but has been fully restored to the way it was. Since it reopened a few years ago, I have been trying to convince my husband to see a show with me. And he’s not really into that kind of stuff, so when he said no, I expected it. But to my surprise, he bought tickets for the Sleeping Beauty Ballet, and I couldn’t be more than happy about it. The show is in a couple of weeks, and I can’t wait to see inside the historic building. Millions of dollars were spent on the restoration. Part of the renovations included updating the HVAC system. They have taken extra steps to make sure the inside is safe and sanitized. So, the new HVAC units use hospital level filtration systems. I believe this means that they are using HEPA air filters to filter the air. Or perhaps they have installed a separate filtration device that works along with the HVAC units. Regardless of what system they have in place. I am just happy that the theater went the extra step to provide the best heating and cooling system for its patrons. Not only will it be comfortable inside the theater, but we will also be breathing in clean air. Anyway, I am super excited about seeing the ballet show at the Lyric Theater. Now I just need to figure out what I need to wear to the show.

I went to a minor league baseball game last week.

It was fun as it was the first game of a new season. I love baseball and we’re quite lucky to have a minor league team in town. And I love the feeling that comes with being outside without air conditioning and ready for another winning season. I was so enjoying myself that I decided to buy a beer just because I could. But when the guy told me it would be 9 dollars, I balked. There is nothing cheap anymore. Well, unless you’re daring enough to eat off those dollar menus for lunch. When I moved into my forever home in Glenview IL I had a bunch of changes I wanted to do. The home came with a decorated wood stove. It was vented through the wood ceiling and there was a stack on the roof. I did some research and realized that while the wood stove was operational, it wasn’t strong enough to combat the Illinois winter or handle the size of my home. It was better suited for a little shack or a man cave. It also was suited for weather that didn’t get as cold as ours. The home did come with central heating too. So I ripped out the woodstove, patched the ceiling and roofers took down the stack. The wood stove stt on a brick pad in the middle of the living room though. I was forced to patch my flooring as well. I figured that I might as well use electric heated mats. I had to redo the floors anyway. I wasn’t exactly loving radiant heating like I was. It is amazing having it in the living room. Living in IL means that the cold comes quickly and is very strong. Those colder mornings are not as bad now. I get a cup of tea and read a book on the couch. The radiant heating system warms the couch and I Am happy as a clam. Eventually I am going to redo all the flooring in my home so that I have this great heating system stretched throughout. It will be so nice not to have to wear slippers or socks in my home.
